SoftBank Robotics Europe (formerly Aldebaran Robotics) is a subsidiary of a Japanese robotics company, one of the world leaders in the field of humanoid robotics.

The company, of French origin, has developed several models of robots, including humanoids NAO, Romeo and Pepper after its acquisition by the Japanese group SoftBank.

This "family of robots"has several objectives: NAO is geared towards programming, teaching and research, Romeo is intended to help people and Pepper customer relations or users.

The vision of the company is focused on the will to make robots for the good of men, with the ultimate goal of marketing its robots to the general public as a "new kind benevolent towards humans".

Employed as designer, my main task is to develop behaviours for NAO and Pepper. My job is very similar to game design. The objective is to design experiences between the robot and the user through playful systems. In practice, this means a lot of documentation, communication with programmers and prototyping to visual scripting tools.
